Looking for bee removal services?
Chances are if you have been; you have come across a swarm of "free bee removal" listings. No brainer right? Wrong!
Ever heard the expression, "If it sounds too good to be true..."? What about, "You get what you pay for"? These "services" are no exception.
What are they really offering you?
When they say free bee removal- that is all you are getting. They will not remove all of the bee-by-product nor will they treat and seal the problem area to prevent future settlers or make any repairs to damage caused by the infestation, and if they do... "Surprise!" Your free bee removal... it's gone and instead you have a real whopper of a bill. Most commonly, they will simply come and take your bees. These guys are most often new bee keepers who are trying to acquire hives for the bee farms. While some do not make any claims at their expertise in the bee removal process; you must be aware that many of these good Samaritans lie about their credentials to obtain bees. These alleged professionals are most often not licensed, trained, experienced or insured! Yikes!
Why does this matter?
Why pay a professional service?
When you choose a business of certified professionals you get more than quality service... You get peace of mind. That is priceless; so what are you paying for?
- Estimates: In our case we offer estimates at no charge, but not all companies do. An estimate involves a removal specialist traveling to your property (fees may occur), assessing your infestation, and discussing their professional recommendations and all potential options.
- Full-Service-Removal: As a professional service we will not just remove your bees. Our technician will also remove any honey and honey comb, which means there will be no baby bees hatching in your walls. Furthermore, remember the "you get what you pay for" conversation, 🔝. We operate to achieve 100% customer satisfaction, in the best interest of the bees, and in a manner that is respectful of you and your property. This takes time! Someone who is not being compensated is, most often, not going to put in the work or the care that a pro will.
- Preventative Maintenance: After the removal process is completed; we treat the area with a professional grade deterrent to prevent other swarms from invading the space. We also repair or replace any damaged materials (insulation, siding, etc.) and seal the area entirely.
- Waranty: Our removal services come with a warranty, durations vary (client's choice), as this is one way we are able to offer flexible prices.
- Inspection: We will also inspect your home for other potential points of entry and recommend any preventative maintenance, which we will also perform at a discounted rate.
If you choose to let a non-licensed person work on your home, or business, and an accident occurs; not only are they not liable--they can sue you! Yes, they can sue you! Should they cause damage to your home, in most cases, your insurance can decline your claim for repair expenses. Lastly, honey bees are a crucial part of life as we know it; they should only be handled by professionals. Letting inexperienced persons attempt to remove them can result in their death!
I am not aiming to discredit bee keepers in any way. They are fabulous people with unbelievable dedication to and understanding of the bee population. I am sure there are some with appropriate experience to perform the job correctly. However, in our time spent in the industry we are seeing more and more butchered jobs because clients are mislead to believe they are getting professional services for free. They then have to take extra time to find a new service, now weary to trust anyone, have their home or business poked and prodded at again and then end up paying for what should have been done right the first time.
This is your home--your shelter. Your family is growing here. Your kids and pets play in the yard. Don't trust your home to just any one. Chose a professional; even if it is just for peace of mind.
